Dr Lisa Ho

Since 2007, Lisa has worked as an optometrist across regional and metropolitan South Australia, at locations including Philip Milford Optometrists, National Pharmacies, Health Partners and Laubman & Pank. She has a special interest in specialty contact lenses, eye disease, and preventative eye care, previously taking part in community screenings in Cambodia, and undertaking her preceptorship at the LV Prasad Eye Institute in India. She was one of the first in the state to obtain postgraduate ocular therapeutics endorsement, and has had further postgraduate education in advanced contact lens fitting. Lisa is a past guest lecturer, clinical supervisor and PBL tutor at the Flinders University School of Optometry. Since 2014, Lisa has been the State President of the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia, working with other industry members to raise funds for research, increase broader awareness and education around contact lenses, and to promote better relationships across the eye care industry. Lisa is a CASA Credentialed Optometrist and a member of the Optometrist Association of Australia. Being very passionate about independent optometry and the eyecare industry, she recently joined the Optometry South Australia State Advisory Committee. Lisa believes in preventative eye care, and prefers to take a holistic approach to her work. She is often described as very thorough and caring by her patients, known to explain issues clearly. Lisa is a first generation Australian born Chinese, whose parents settled in Australia following the Vietnam War. She speaks fluent English, Teo Chiu and basic Mandarin and Cantonese. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys photography, wildlife, and badminton.

Justyn Ho

BEng (Hons) | Practice Manager Optical Technician
Justyn has a mechanical engineering background, having worked previously in stainless steel, R&D and quality and safety testing. In 2018 he decided to embark on a sea change, and joined Lisa at Wellness Eyecare where he felt he could have a more direct impact on the community and personal wellbeing. Justyn has attended international and interstate optical conferences, and has volunteered for the charity Cambodia Vision, helping to manage and screen 5000 locals in his time in Cambodia. Known for his attention to detail and fine handywork, Justyn has a broad knowledge of different frame materials and their mechanical designs. Being quite shortsighted, he has also worn spectacles for most of his life, and therefore shares most of the common frustrations of other people needing glasses. Originally from Malaysia, Justyn speaks fluent English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, and basic Japanese. He likes a big bowl of vegetarian curry, and enjoys camping, playing the guitar and wildlife.
